Mirtazapine
« on: March 02, 2016, 07:49:56 PM »
Hi
I stopped taking the above - sick of how much weight I put on.
Stopped cold turkey three weeks ago or so. Lost lots of weight but now my mood has plummeted beyond low.

Spoke to gp who told me tonight it was my choice to stop, she can't give me anything else

I don't know what to do

is your GP open to talking through stuff, I know some ones are good and others rubbish.

are there other options in terms of managing weight gain on it if it was helping in other ways?

I have been on mirtazapine for a few years and have put on weight which does bother me but I know it helps my mood and to go back to how I was before I  started taking it would be much worse than being overweight. Would you consider going back on it?
