Advice on scars
« on: June 01, 2015, 11:48:05 PM »
I am potentially going on holiday in August, but I am concerned that any recent scars will have not faded by then, and I know that old scars are much more visible once the sun gets to them.
I use bio oil twice a day on my scars and it seems to work, very slowly, but it does still work. Does anyone have any advice on how to make them fade faster?

I've heard that vitamin e can make them fade - you buy the capsules from a pharmacy, split the capsule and then rub the liquid inside onto the scars. Not sure if it is faster than bio oil or not though :hug1:

Bio oil works well
My sister uses it for a scar she got cutting herself washing up
It has made a noticeable difference in short time period
it does take several months to reach the full effect though

I hope you enjoy your holiday x

I'd just keep on applying the bio oil frequently! You could always try using another oil with it, like palmers skin therapy oil, I've heard thats good for scars! :) Hope you have a lovely holiday xx
