Venlafaxine - help please
« on: March 31, 2015, 09:21:19 PM »
 :help:
I keep seeing things just out of my line of sight
They aren't real I keep telling myself
But they are?

I don't know it's really odd
Happening since I went back on top dose after OD

Does anyone else have this with same med?

Also still getting brain zaps and shakes and dizziness

Really not liking it

My BP is 180 over 120 and I have to have a 24hr monitor again

Hey lily, I used to get terrible brain zaps dizziness etc when I missed a dose on venlafaxine but not when I was taking it normally... Have you missed a dose? Who prescribed it to you? It's worth speaking to them, especially if it's lasted for two weeks or more...

Hi Lily Kym
I also got brain zaps and dizzyness and fainting.  Cant remember about seeing things out of the corner of my eye though, as this was a while ago, I didnt like that medication.

Have they altered the does, if i remember rightly there was a slow release pill that made it so u didnt get a full wack of the drug in one go, maybe this would help being on the slow release one.

Thank you both for replying.

It's all ok with the venlafaxine now I think?

I'm now slowly withdrawing from a heavy co codamol addiction which I'm only just admitting to.

Lily Kym

Have they put u on an alternate opiate pain killer? i had to swap to Tramadol instead of co-codamol.  OR have they given u anything to get through the withdrawal, just remember not to rush it and take it in steps  even if they small steps.

Good luck

No I have nothing else for the pain. Been through thousands in past 14 months.
Doc just gives it out ... OTC pain meds too
Been on the max dose daily for a year, most days I've doubled that

Got called back for most blood tests - liver is f****d

Have appointment on 21st to discuss options

My own fault so I don't see point in doing it
