hypnotism
« on: February 19, 2015, 09:02:00 PM »
Ive been having flashbacks to what Im fairly sure was abuse (sexual) when I was younger but its all in pieces and I dont know whats real and how to make sense of it all - I need to know for sure, she still has access to children and I dont want her to hurt anyone else,  Has anyone had hypnotherapy to recover lost memories and did it help/work? I still feel dirty and ashamed and I blame myself. I really need to be able to put all the pieces together but some are missing.

The danger with hypnosis is could you be sure that memories were being retrieved and not created? Is it possible for you to talk to anyone else who knew this person and maybe fill in some gaps that way? Otherwise maybe a more conventional therapy might help you to explore and make sense of the memories you do have? X x
