have been since yesterday evening
I want to leave though
they've basically forgotten I'm here anyway so they wouldn't notice if I left

They would notice if you left and would more than likely send the police to look for you, it happened to me in the past when I left hospital without being discharged, they came and kicked my door in! Best to stay there until it is agreed that you can be discharged.

Sorry things reached that point  though Sian is right, you need to stay until your discharged. You don't want them to call the police.

Glad you're ok, you did the right thing by staying. 
If you think you may of again you should call whoever you feel most comfortable with. If texting your cco is easier then do so, I don't think it's weird. As long as it keeps you safe do what you feel is right.

I hope you managed to ring after... It's not weird at all, that's what they're there for... Sorry you ended up in hospital.. Hope you stay safe x
