Advice needed please

Hello,

I would really welcome some advice please.  Recently I found out that my child has been self harming.  It is something that I have struggled with but am slowly coming to terms with.  Strangly this is not my problem.  I have just recieved calls from my daughters friends parents. They informing me that one of my daughters other friends mothers has called them to let them know about her self harming.  Obviously I was shocked and annoyed that this person felt she had the right to do such a thing and my husband called her to ask her to stop.  Her reply was that she felt justified because her daugher self harms too. 
Has anyone had this happen to them?  Any advice on how I could deal with this situation would be welcome.

  hello n welcome, sorry that woman did that it wasnt justified n sometimes see it as gossip n not how it affects others, have you managed to talk to your child if her daughter selfharms too surely she would have more compassion with the situation, has your child got any help or support. this forum is great for friends, family or shers n hopfully youll be able to get the support you need x
