The charity is now offering 'snap wraps'. These are an excellent distraction technique that can be used on wrists or ankles. The wraps come as a flat band but when slapped against the wrist they wrap around. They can then be re-straightend easily as they snap back into their original form and can be continually re-used. The wraps are simply orange (colour of self harm awareness) with 'nshn' printed in black on the strip. An example can be viewed here:http://www.promota.co.uk/products/2007/2007_7202.jpg
These will be sent free to current charity members and will also be supplied free to new charity members.
Non-members can purchase them at a cost of £3.00 (Inc P&P) by sending a cheque or postal order to:
PO Box 7264
Cheque and postal orders should be made out to 'National Self Harm Network'.
*Please note that the link for membership on the main site is currently out of order and will shortly be replaced by a downloadable membership form PDF. If you would like to join the charity in the meantime please contact a member of the co-coordinating group which is detailed here:http://www.nshn.co.uk/forum/index.php?topic=6983.0
Members receive an information pack of charity leaflets, resource list, distraction techniques, publications list, newsletters and news bulletins.
