Co-ordinating GroupThe National Co-ordinating Group are responsible for the day to day running of the charity and make decisions regarding the projects the charity will undertake. The group are also responsible for the charity's funding and sustainability. The Co-ordinating Group is made up entirely of volunteers and consists of a Chairperson, Secretary, Treasurer and group members, all of which are company directors and charity trustees. The group currently undertake all administration duties and work produced by the charity.
Each year all members of the group step down from their positions and are free to reapply for the group at the charity's Annual General Meeting (AGM). All full charity members also have the opportunity to apply for positions. Each applicant provides a statement for members to read about themselves and why they wish to be a member of the group. Members then make a decision as to who they would like the group to consist of for the following year. The group may also decide to co-opt additional members during the year at their discretion and within the levels set down by their governing document.
The group make decisions they feel are in the best interests of the charity but they ultimately represent their members and are answerable to their governing bodies, the Charities Commission and Companies House.
